Satara Dayquan Sharper died Friday, May 29, 2015, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center in Sumter.

Born March 27, 1983, in Sumter, "Tara," as she was known, was a daughter of Patricia Ann Sharper and Joshua Burgess.

Survivors besides her parents of Sumter include two children, Ni'Zavian Bratton and Kaveonntia Jones, both of Sumter; her grandmother, Mary Burgess of Sumter; her siblings, Antwan Sharper and Unique Sharper, both of Sumter, Brianna Burgess and James Burgess, both of Norfolk, Virginia, Byron Brock and Jamar Brock, both of Manning, and Joshua Burgess Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; seven uncles, Gregory (Robertha) Sharper, Robert (Elizabeth) Andrews, Jacob Burgess Jr., Robert Burgess and James Harvin, all of Sumter, James (Cynthia) Burgess of Virginia and Michael Burgess of Killeen, Texas; eight aunts, Mary (Eric) Adams of Killeen, Brenda Petty, Wanda (Charlie) Garris, Gwen (Wayne) Montgomery, Johnnie Mae Sharper, Wendy Sharper and Juanita (Thomas) Joynor, all of Sumter, and Sandra S. (Tommy) Pearson of Columbia; and a number of other relatives and friends.

A public viewing for Satara Dayquan Sharper will be held from 2-6 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Job's Mortuary in Sumter.

Funeral services for Satara Dayquan Sharper will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Westend Community Church, 101 S. Salem Ave. in Sumter.

The family will receive friends at 809 S. Main St. in Sumter.
