TURBEVILLE - Louis Miller, 55, widow of Yvonne James Miller, died Monday, April 27, 2015.

Born July 11, 1959, in Turbeville, he was a son of the late Robert Harrison and Ruby Player Miller, and a stepson of Bobby Joe Miller and Lizzie Epps Harrison. He attended Walker Gamble School and East Clarendon High School in Turbeville.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Lee Rush.

In his youth he joined Howard Chapel AME Church.

Survivors besides his stepfather and stepmother include a daughter, Valerie James of Sumter; six brothers, Joseph (Jessie) Miller of Turbeville, Charles (Juanita) Miller, Tommy Harrison and Larry Harrison, all of New Zion, and Samuel (Mae Thelma) Harrison of Sumter and Gary (Thomasina) harrison of Conway; and six sisters, Helen Miller of Sumter, Patricia Harrison of New Zion, Shirley (Bob) Welch of Gable, Teresa (Wyman) Moore of Lynchburg, Denise (Steven) Green of Olanta and LaShonda Frierson of Manning.

A public viewing for Louis Miller will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015, at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Louis Miller will be held 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015, at Howard Chapel AME Church, 6338 Old Manning Road in New Zion, with Pastor Oliver Davis officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jerome McCray. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery.

Mr. Miller will lie in repose for an hour prior to funeral time.

The family will receive friends at the home, 2204 Plantation Village in Turbeville.

Services for Louis Miller have been entrusted to Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning.
