Ruth Edgeworth Graham

PINEWOOD - Ruth Edgeworth Graham, 84, widow of Henry Hazel Graham Sr., died Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Born in Kershaw County, she was a daughter of the late David Hardy Edgeworth Sr. and Ila Mae Benenhaley Edgeworth. Mrs. Graham was a member of Pinewood United Methodist Church. She retired from A&P Grocery Stores after more than 30 years of service.

Survivors include two sons, Henry Hazel Graham Jr. (Janet) of Chantilly, Virginia, and Vincent Morgan Graham (Melanie) of Columbia; a special daughter, Jeannie Richburg of Pinewood; six grandchildren, Jennifer Yousfi, Elizabeth Ashley Dennis, James Christopher Bell (Brittany), William Allen Graham (Courtney), Allison Courtney Graham and Michael Leland Bell; four great-grandchildren, Layth, Caroline, Lexi and Emma; one brother, William L. "Billy" Edgeworth of Sumter; and a sister, Della M. Brown of Indiana.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Henry Hazel Graham III; one brother, David H. Edgeworth Jr.; and one sister, Louise T. Vogel.

Funeral services for Ruth Edgeworth Graham were held Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Pinewood United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Shay Long officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.

Henry Hazel Graham Jr., Vincent Morgan Graham, William Allen Graham, James Christopher Bell, Michael Leland Bell and Robert Eugene Burke served as pallbearers.

The family received friends Friday, April 24, 2015, at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Jeannie Richburg, 204 West Avenue North in Pinewood.
