Gatlin-Keefer wedding announcement

Helen Frances Gatlin and Benjamin Lance Keefer were united in holy matrimony Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Manning First Baptist Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Ward Gatlin of Manning, and the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. James Clarence Owen of Florence and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Arthur Gatlin of Conway. She received a bachelor's degree in hospitality and tourism management from the University of South Carolina. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Coy Neil Keefer of Sumter, and the grandson of the Rev. and Mrs. Thomas Edward Bowen of Sumter and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Eugene Keefer of Big Cove Tannery, Pennsylvania. He received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Clemson University, and is employed as an engineer for Thompson Construction in Sumter. Dr. Johnnie Dale Roach officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by John Dickinson, organist, and Lauren Decker, violinist, and Kristin Hardaway and Shaw Thompson, soloists. Mary Kathryn Gatlin served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Sarah DuBose Sprott. Callie Ann Keefer and Harper Louise Rivers served as flower girls. Garet Strange served as best man. Groomsmen included Justin Keefer. Ushers included Brandon Keefer and Shane Keefer. Walker Townsend Rivers served as ring bearer. A wedding reception was held at Manning First Baptist Church. The couple will reside in Corpus Christi, Texas.
