LMA, MHS, East Clarendon face-off in all-Clarendon Golf Tournament

The Manning High School, East Clarendon High School and Laurence Manning Academy boys' golf teams squared off on the course at Shannon Greens in Manning for an all-Clarendon County High School Golf Match on April 7. LMA cruised to a victor in the event, with low scores from Van Gardner, 37, with a hole-in-one; Burke Mishoe, 38; Rutledge DuRant, 39; and Tilman Tumbleson, 43. Their total score was 157. Manning High finished second in the event, with a final total score of 178. Jacob Richburg had a low round of the day for Manning High School, with a nine-hole score of 37. East Clarendon High School finished third in the event, with a final total score of 184. Justin Muller had the low round of the day for East Clarendon High School with a nine-hole score of 43. Van Gardner of LMA and Jacob Richburg of MHS had the low rounds of the match and were named co-medalists of the event for their scores of 37. The hole-in-one by Van was his second of the year at Shannon Greens. He managaed an ace on the third hole at the course on May 24, 2014. He is 13 years old and is the son of Bon and Vanessa Gardner of Manning. He is a member of the Clarendon County Junior Golf program and the S.C. Junior Golf Association's Midstate Chapter.
