OLANTA - Roy Layne Black, 57, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center, after an illness.
Memorial services were held Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Nazareth United Methodist Church.
Born in Charlotte, N.C., he was a son of the late Robert Lewis Black Jr. and Jeanette Yount Black. He was a disabled veteran on the U.S. Marines and a member of Nazareth United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Danielle Black, Rebecca (Billy) Yates and Kristy Hayes; four grandchildren, Augusta and Tyler Hayes and William and Abbigail Yates; three sisters, Mary Jeannette Davis, Martha Lorraine Black and Marsha Ann Voelker.
