SUMTER - Sally Jane Redden Cooper Brunson, 110, widow of Willie Cooper and Albert Brunson, died Friday, March 20, 2015, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center in Sumter.

Born Aug. 15, 1904, in New Zion, she was a daughter of the late Samson Redden and Easter McFadden Redden.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Wilbert Cooper and Earl Cooper Jr.; four brothers, Josphen, Isiah, Jacob and Robert Reddent; and a sister, Catherine Miller.

She attended Clarendon County public schools. At an early age, she worshiped at Union Hill Baptist Church in Turbeville.

She was a devoted member of Apostolic Church of the Living God in Sumter, where she was the Mother of the Church.

Survivors include a loving, devoted daughter, Mildred Mae Miller of Sumter; a sister, Sarah Steward of Greensboro, N.C.; a daughter-in-law: Laura Mae Cooper of Alcolu; 16 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; 64 great-great-grandchildren; and two-great-great-great-grandchildren.

A public viewing will be held 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, at the funeral home.

Celebratory services for Sally Jane Redden Cooper Brunson will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 14 Brand St. in Sumter, with the Rev. Larry Barnes, pastor, officiating, and Co-pastor Fannie McCoy as eulogist. Bishop James McCoy, the Rev. Jerome McCray, Apostle William Ron Dunmore and Evangelist Martha Davis will assisting.

The casket will be placed in the church an hour prior to funeral time.

Burial will follow in Old McFadden Cemetery on Burnt Branch Road off U.S. 378 in Lake City.

The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Mildred Mae Miller, 961 Utah Circle in Sumter.

Funeral services for Sally Jane Redden Cooper Brunson were entrusted to Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning.
