Nine CCTC employees honored with State Service Awards

SUMTER - Clarendon County Adult Education Director Dr. Julie Griffin was one of nine Central Carolina Technical College employees honored with State Service Awards during the Area Commission Meeting held March 19. Griffin was honored for 30 years of service, and received a special certificate and acknowledgement by Area Commission Chairman J. Mac Summers and CCTC President Dr. Tim Hardee. Others honored included, for 10 years of service, Shauna Boyer, information technology faculty; Lisa Dimitriadis, department chair of Speech, Humanities and Social Sciences; Welvia "Shawntay" King, admissions counselor; and Laura Stephenson, admissions counselor. For 20 years, Cheryl Allen-Lint, asscounting director; Larry Foote, information technology faculty; and Deborah Richardson, Allied Health program manager. And for 30 years, Beverly Gulledge, AD and PN Nursing faculty. An 11-member Area Commission, comprised of appointed officials from within CCTC’s four-county service area governs the College, in accordance with the Charter of the South Carolina Technical College System. Central Carolina Technical College is a comprehensive, public, two-year institution of higher education that is dedicated to fostering a positive environment of teaching and learning for faculty, staff, and students. The College serves primarily the region of Clarendon, Lee, Kershaw, and Sumter counties in South Carolina and confers associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates.
