PINEWOOD – Wellington Crosby Jr., 84, husband of Thelma Ruth Pugh Crosby, died Sunday, March 15, 2015, at his home in Silver.
Born Sept. 1, 1930, in Silver, he was a son of the late Wellington Crosby Sr. and Sally Wells Crosby.
Celebratory services for Wellington Crosby Jr. will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Marc h 21, 2015, at Hayes F. LaNelle J. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St. in Manning, with the Rev. Terry R. Johnson as eulogist, the Rev. Willie J. Chandler presiding, and Minister Garry Conyers, the Rev. Tranell James and the Rev. LaRon Blanding assisting.
Burial will follow at New Hope AME Church cemetery in Pinewood.
The family will receive friends at the home, 1784 Bethune Road in Pinewood.
Services for Wellington Crosby Jr. have been entrusted to Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning.
