CADES - Mary Lou Patrick, 83, wife of Bishop Brinkley Patrick, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at McLeod Hospice, after an illness.

Born Jan. 19, 1932, in Florence, she was a daughter of the late Willard Parrott and Ella Mae Tanner Parrott. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Survivors besides her husband of Cades include two sons, Wyman (Lori) Patrick of Lexington and Timmy (Joyce) Patrick of Cades; a daughter, Ava (Benji) Rogers of Cades; a sister, Mildred McElveen of Olanta; four grandchildren, Shawn (Megan) Patrick of Andrews, Ben Rogers of Florence, Jennifer Crider of Lexington and Jason (Jill) Goldie of Asheville, N.C.; and six great-grandchildren, Christian Crider, Riley Patrick, Logan Patrick, Lane Patrick, Ella Mills Goldie and Lilly Kate Patrick.

Mrs. Patrick was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Patrick; a brother, William Parrott; and a sister, Judy Gaskins.

Funeral services for Mary Lou Patrick were held Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following at Bethesda Cemetery in Cades.

The family received friends at the home of Timmy and Joyce Patrick, 2841 Cade Road in Lake City.
