Robert N. "Bobby" Boykin Jr. has been named interim director for the Clarendon County Development Board, and will serve in that capacity while the board and other county officials work on finding a replacement for former Director John Truluck.
Boykin retired last summer from NBSC, where he was the regional marketing president for the Northeast, covering Sumter, Lee, Clarendon, Florence, Georgetown and Horry Counties.
"We believe he has the experience needed to guide us while we go through this transition," said County Administrator David Epperson.
Boykin has also served as chairman of the Sumter County Development Board.
