Kathern Hodge Winningham, 77, of Vance, widow of Willie “Bill” Winningham, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at The Oaks in Orangeburg.
Born in Clarendon County, Kathern was a daughter of the late James W. Hodge and Fannie DuBose Hodge. A retired seamstress, she was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church, and she enjoyed her flowers.
Surviving are daughters, Sharon Dickson and Tammy Plemmons, both of Vance; a goddaughter, Christy Servin of Vance; sisters, Linda Cutter of Vance, Betty Yourgalavage of Byron, Ga., and Marion Worrel (Melvin) of Manning; brothers, Perry Hodge and Walter Hodge, both of Manning; grandchildren, Aleshia Norris, Willie “Clay” Dickson and Angela Plemmons, all of Vance; and great-grandchildren, Justin Dickson and Abby Norris.
A graveside service for Kathern Hodge Winningham will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, in Eutawville Cemetery, with Pastor Todd Hodge officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at Avinger Funeral Home in Holly Hill.
