Woman says ex-boyfriend assaulted her

A Manning woman told police about 3:30 a.m. Nov. 18 that her ex-boyfriend started choking her and hitting her on the head as she was sitting in her car on the corner of West Boyce and Burgess streets in Manning. The woman said she met up with the ex-boyfriend at his request, and he then became angry and started assaulting her. She added that he threw her phone to the ground, kicked her car door and broke her car's rear view mirrors. Police reported the woman had scratches on her arms and a cut over her lip. The vehicle was estimated to have $400 in damages.
