Clarendon Hall players receive five invites for North-South game

Clarendon Hall received five invitations for its football players to play in the North-South 8-Man All-Star Game, which will be held 1:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at Orangeburg Prep. Those selected included: Dustin Way, senior, captain and quarterback, who lead the Saints rushing with 168 carries for 1,068 yards and 53 passing attempts for 925. Way scored 13 touchdowns and 16 two-point conversions. On defense, Way recorded 57 tackles and three interceptions. Way was also named to the SCISA 8 Man Region II All Region Team as well as being selected as the Region Offensive Player of the Year. Daniel Pappas, senior, captain and fullback, totaled 119 carries for 684 yards and 241 yards receiving. Pappas scored nine touchdowns and three two-point conversions. On defense, Pappas recorded 111 tackles and an interception. Pappas was also selected to the All Region Team. Trey Thomas, senior guard, anchored the defensive line recording a team high of 127 tackles with 19 for a loss of yardage. Thomas also had an interception, two fumble recoveries and two blocked punts. Thomas also handled the kick off duties for the Saints. Thomas was also selected to the All Region Team. Mac Davis, senior defensive end, recorded 126 tackles with 18 tackles for a loss of yardage,  eight sacks and a fumble recovery. On offense, Davis scored a touchdown. Cody Armstrong, senior end, recorded 106 tackles with 14 for a loss of yardage, three sacks and two fumble recoveries. On offense, Armstrong scored three touchdowns and two-point conversions while rushing for 141 yards and pass receiving of 64 yards.
