Dorothy Regina Scott Miller, 56, wife of the Rev. Northern Miller, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at her home.

Born Jan. 18, 1956, in Manning, she was a daughter of Heyward Scott Sr. and Dorothy Daney Scott. She was a graduate of Manning High School's Class of 1975, and obtained an associate's degree from Atlanta College of Nursing and Dental Assistants. She received a business degree from Gadsden Business College in Anniston, Ala. Professionally, Debbie worked as a laboratory technician and an office manager.

She received Christ as her personal savior in 1978 and was called to the ministry in 1980. She had the privilege of assisting her husband in ministry since 1988. She carried the title of co-pastor. She was the co-founder and co-pastor of Trinity Full Gospel Church in Manning.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Heyward Allen Scott Jr., Livingston Andrew Scott and John Sherman Scott.

Survivors besides her husband include her children, Rodrick Miller, Tiffiani Joy Miller-Onifade, Mandrake (Vincia) Miller and Marcus Goodwin; her brothers, Deacon Richard (the Rev. Bertha) Scott and Edmond (Sadie) Scott, both of Alcolu, Lynn (Suzie) Scott of Columbia, and Lawrence (Linda) Scott of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Margret Sweat Scott of Alcolu; her mother-in-law, Mary L. Miller; sister-in-law, Bobbie (Curtis) Boulware; and her brother-in-laws, Lee Miller, Deacon Timothy (Malva) Miller and Willie E. (Viola) Miller.

Wake services for Dorothy Regina Scott Miller will be held 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at Hayes F. and LaNelle J. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St. in Manning.

Celebratory services for Dorothy Regina Scott Miller will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, at Mt. Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Manning, with the Rev. Carnell Witherspoon, pastor, officiating, Pastor E.L. Sanders presiding and Bishop Dr. George McKnight, Pastor Don Lowery and the Rev. Dr. Leroy Green assisting.

Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery.

Mrs. Miller will lie in repose for an hour prior to funeral time.

The family will receive friends at the home, 2160 Little Star Road in Alcolu.
