Manning home vandalized, gun stolen during burglary attempt

A 74-year-old woman living in the 1000 block of Deland Street in Manning told deputies with the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office about 6:08 a.m. Nov. 14 that someone kicked in the back door of her home, causing about $500 worth of damages. Inv. Eric Rosdail inspected the home further and found the kitchen window damaged to the tune of $300 as well. The resident told deputies that her stainless steel Smith and Wesson valued at $500 was stolen during the break-in. The woman said the last time she had been at the home was Nov. 10.
