A local businessman was granted a personal recognizance bond Friday afternoon for five counts of simple larceny related to the alleged taking of campaign signs that don't belong to him. Richard Canady, 55, of 312 Lake Arbu Drive in Manning, allegedly picked up signs with Robert M. Fleming on Thursday night in Greeleyville. Several of the signs bore the name of Dudley Musier, a candidate in the special primary scheduled for Dec. 2 for Williamsburg County sheriff. According to officials with the Williamsburg County Detention Center, Fleming is currently in a bond hearing as of this writing. Manninglive.com will have more later. An official with the jail said Canady was granted a $2,130 PR bond altogether.
