Summerton Presbyterian Church invites the community to celebrate the church’s Homecoming on Nov. 9. Dr. Joseph T. Stukes, professor emeritus at Francis Marion University and ruling elder in the John Calvin Presbyterian Church in Florence, will share about the history of the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary.
The Rev. Dr. Charles Jarred Hammet Jr. will be the guest preacher during the 11 a.m. service. Hammet served the church as pastor from 1988 to 2001. Currently, he is the pastor of Northminster Presbyterian Church in Macon, Ga.
A catered meal will in Clarkson Hall will follow the service. Those planning to attend services and partake of the meal are asked to call the church and give their names and numbers attending.
