Smith had been with the Sheriff’s Office for 19 years. He is survived by a wife and five children.

Cpl. David Jones with the S.C. Highway Patrol said the wreck is still under investigation.

Holmes was a standup guy. I started with Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office in February and He was one that welcomed me. He always had a smile on his face. Always talking about his family and beautiful wife. There is a void at the office here. Please pray for the Smith Family as they suffer the lost of husband, father, son and brother.
