Florine Bennett Dingle

COLUMBIA - Florine Bennett Dingle, 86, widow of Beasley Dingle, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at the Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia.

Born July 3, 1928, in Jordan, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Susan Stukes Bennett. She attended Clarendon County public school. She was employed with the Clarendon County government for many years, until her retirement. She joined Jehovah's Witnesses and was baptized on June 24, 2006, serving faithfully until her death.

She is survived by her nine children, Richard (Threasa) Bennett of Brooklyn, New York, George (Diane) Dingle of Manning, William (Evelyn) Dingle of Richmond, Virginia, James (Gwen) Dingle of Madison, Alabama, Genrette (Michelle) Dingle, Dora (Edgar) Patterson, Geneva (Roney) Plowden and Stephney (Walter) Gadson, all of Columbia, and Adger (Lavonne) Dingle of Myrtle Beach; three sisters, Lizzie (Elijah) Taylor of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Roxie Bennett of Brooklyn, New York, Rosa Smith of Manhattan, New York; three brothers, Arthur (Carolyn) Bennett of Manning, Willie (Agnes) Bennett of Brooklyn and Romie (Wilhemenia) Bennett of Sumter; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services for Florine Bennett Dingle will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at Manning Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4343 Greeleyville Highway (U.S. 521) in Manning, with Brother Ed Ross officiating, assisted by Brothers Dudley Wells, Johnny Nelson, Herbert Reed and General Benbow.

The casket will lie in repose from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

Burial will follow in the Union Cypress AME Church cemetery in Jordan.

The family will receive friends at the home, 1910 Joseph Lemon and Dingle Road in Jordan.

Services have been entrusted to Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning.
