These photos of the annual Swamp Fox Symposium held over the weekend at Central Carolina Technical College were graciously provided by Dr. Elwood Owens, a retired heart surgeon and attorney from Florence. He frequent travels with retired Francis Marion University Professor Joe Stukes, who relives history through impersonations of famous characters. He appeared as William Moultrie on Saturday during the symposium, reminiscing about his friend, Francis “Swamp Fox” Marion.
