Jean Vermell Kelly, 57, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, at the Hospice of Charleston.
Born June 26, 1957, in Clarendon County, Jeannie was a daughter of Blease Sinkler and the late Minnie Sinkler, and the stepdaughter of Betty White. She was the adopted daughter of the late Edward and Annie McKnight Kelly.
The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 132 Mansfield Blvd. in North Charleston.
Funeral plans will be announced by Community Funeral Home of Sumter.
