The Carolina Gators travel ball team came in second in the 2014 USSSA Battle of the Bats tournament at Westcott Park in North Charleston over the weekend, sacrificing only one loss in the entire two-day tournament play. The team has been playing together for four years.
The team includes, from left to right (standing), Lowden Olsen, Coach Jackie McIntosh, Jon-Jon McIntosh, Jackson Campbell, Mickey Jordan, Blane Kennard, Clayton Lee, Coach Mark Campbell and bat boy Joseph Champan. On the front row from left to right are Josh Kennard, Dalton Brown, Cantey Gardner, Davis Chapman, Jackson Clemmons and Davis Campbell.
Pitching awards were given to Blane Kennard, Mickey Jordan and Jackson Clemmons. Players who were unable to attend were Coleman Yates, Tate Sistare and Bryce Acord.
