It's best to avoid the area of North Brooks Street in front of Weldon Auditorium as traffic is blocked in both directions due to a wreck that happened about 9:05 p.m. when a minivan hit a tree head-on.
It appeared at the scene that a passenger and the driver were being extricated from the vehicle to be transported to Clarendon Memorial Hospital by Clarendon EMS. A front-seat passenger was sitting up and alert, and didn't seem to be getting medical attention.
No details are available on the wreck, or how it happened.
