Samaritan's Purse honored Ed and Sheila Strack on Friday, along with Emmanuel Baptist Church in Manning, for their service to Operation Christmas Child. The Stracks served for a decade as the coordinators for Clarendon County's participation in the program, which packs and decorates shoeboxes filled with children's items and then sends them overseas along with the story of Jesus. Emmanuel Baptist Church has been the collection center for Clarendon County for 13 years.
