District 2 screening students for Gifted and Talented

Posted
Clarendon School District 2 has started screening students for possible placement in the district's Gifted and Talented Academic PRIDE Program. The district conducts census testing of all second graders each fall on the Cognitive Abilities aptitude test and the Iowa Test of Basic Skills achievement test to identify students for the PRIDE program, which begins in third grade. Students in third through eighth grades who are new to the district, or those who have not been identified through census testing, may be referred for screening by administrators, teachers, guidance counselors, parents, peers or themselves. Oct. 15 is the deadline for referrals, and forms are available at each school's guidance office. For more information, please call Judy Holmes at (803) 435-4435, or email jsholmes@csd2.org.
