A 37-year-old Manning woman was charged with shoplifting about 7:20 p.m. Sept. 23 at a store in the 2000 block of Paxville Highway in Manning after allegedly concealing chicken tenders and cheddar jalepenos from the deli.
According to reports, the woman attempted to leave the store without paying for the items, and she told police that she was supposed to have money sent to her through a moneygram, but it never arrived. The food was valued at $6.
