Six concealed weapon permit holders in Clarendon County who received training from a 30-year-old Columbia man have had their permits revoked. Andrew A. Gajadhar, was charged Tuesday with 29 counts for, a warrant alleges, "selling concealed weapons permits without providing the training required by law." Agents say Gajadhar signed off on certificates to signify that "the person receiving the permit had passed a written and handgun proficiency examination." Folks living in 27 South Carolina are affected by Gajadhar's alleged falsification efforts. These folks - along with those in Clarendon County - were sent letters to surrender their permits within 15 days, and tells them how they can reinstate the permit once SLED receives proper training documentation. Those affected include Richland County, 125; Lexington, 55; Sumter, 37; Lee, 10; Kershaw, 9; Fairfield and Orangeburg, two; and Orangeburg, one.
