Several businesses were recognized during the Main Street Manning annual meeting held Tuesday night at the old Belk Building on North Brooks Street in Manning.
The awards for which local folks voted included Most Hospitable Business (won by The Manning Times), Best Building Renovation (won by Simpson Hardware) and Best Window Display (won by The Sugar and Spice Fairy). Other businesses were recognized for longevity and youth, and they will be posted tomorrow. Manning Mayor Julia Nelson and Tourism Director and Main Street Manning Director Carrie Trebil presented the awards. Nelson and Trebil accepted the Best Building Renovation award on behalf of Simpson Hardware.
