Women of Main Street: Nicole Marlowe

Posted
EDITOR'S NOTE: Nicole Marlowe of Cypress Esthetics, is one of nearly 100 women that will be honored Tuesday at the Main Street Manning annual meeting. Nicole Marlowe’s grandmother, Sarah McElveen, always told her to do what makes her happy. “She always supported me and was even there when I had to make a decision on my profession,” Marlowe said. The Alcolu native had been working on an interior design project for weeks, and had a meeting for review scheduled. “I didn’t get the grade I wanted, and decided that if this is going to my life, then I don’t want it,” Marlowe said. “My friend, Andrew, told me to check out esthetics school because she thought it was for me. Turns out, she was right.” After graduation, Marlowe worked for Beautiful Image Centers for 8.5 years, and with Cypress Esthetics for two years. “I was working at Clarendon Health System when Dr. John Sherman heard I was an esthetician, and he hired me as the esthetician for his office,” Marlowe said. Marlowe said she loves “being able to help my clients feel better about their skin,” and she wants to continue growing in her field. “I would love to add some lasers to the practice,” she said. “We are doing injectables, such as Botox, and would love to see the Medical Esthetics part grow.” Marlowe has been married to Justin Marlowe for nearly 10 years, and they have a 3-year-old daughter, Adalyn. They also have two dogs, Peanut and Minnie, and enjoy spending time on Lake Marion. They are also part of the praise team at Little Star Pentecostal Holiness Church.
