LAKE CITY – Elizabeth Ann Hannah Turner, 72, wife of James Turner, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2014.

Born in Lake City, she was a daughter of the late Odell Hanna Wilson and William Wilson. She was a 190 graduate of Carver High School in Lake City. She worked in domestic affairs and for Wal-Mart. She was a member of Greater St. James AME Church where she served as an usher, a Sunday school teacher and with the clothing ministry.

Survivors besides her husband include three children, William (Terri) Hannah of Lake City and Yvette Hanna and Yvonne H. (Ferry) Brown, both of Florence; three sisters, Barbara (Archie) Webb of Lake City, Verdell Hannah of Buffalo, N.Y., and Sandra Hannah of Ft. Washington, Md.; a brother, Dennis (Marilyn) Jones of Peekskill, N.Y.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her sisters- and brother-in law, Ella Casley, Dorothy Burgess, Ruth Burgess, Barbara Burgess, Nancy (Clyde) Washington and Thomas Burgess; two special cousins, Clyde (Phyllis) Brown and Mable (Curtis) Wilkerson; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Elizabeth Ann Hannah Turner were held Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at Greater St. James AME Church, 339 Moore St. in Lake City, with the Rev. Sinclair Frasier officiating. Burial followed in Rest Lawn Cemetery, directed by Green’s Funeral Home of Lake City.
