GALLERY: Old Belk Building on North Brooks Street

Posted
The old Belk building on North Brooks Street - built in the early 1920s as Alderman's 20 stores in 1 - was opened Wednesday for a walk-through by owner Bobby Wilson and property manager Rob Wilson, his son. The building will be the site of the Main Street Manning annual meeting, which will be held Sept. 23. While Wilson showed the basement and the second floor, it will be the first floor, pictured left, that will be the centerpiece for the Sept. 23 meeting. Wilson said he doesn't know what he will do with the building quite yet, but he would like to take it back to its roots, perhaps, and have several different stores within. See more on the meeting and building in Thursday's Manning Times.
