Emma Blanding Nelson, 105, widow of George Nelson Sr., died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at her home.
Born Aug. 9, 1909, in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Flander and Bessie Sherod Blanding.
The family will receive friends at the home, 1818 Appaloosa St. in Sumter.
Funeral plans are incomplete and will be announced later by Job's Mortuary Inc. of Sumter.
