The City of Manning will remember the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, with a ceremony at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Gazebo on the corner of Rigby and Church streets. “We want this to be a time of remembrance,” said Manning Director of Tourism and Community Development Carrie Trebil. “We should never forget those who lost their lives and what that event meant to all Americans.” The Rev. Michael Murdoch will be the guest speaker for the event, which will feature a color guard and other patriotic flair. For more information, call (803) 435-8477.
