Juanita Green McClary

Juanita Green McClary, 88, widow of Clemson L. McClary, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, in Kingstree Nursing Facility.

Born May 21, 1926, in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Louise Camilla Driggers Green and Pledger Thomas Green. She attended Williamsburg County schools and retired from Kingstree Laundry as secretary. She was a member of Kingstree First Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald McClary; a sister, Charity Carter; and a brother Durant Green.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. Cecil L. McClary (Mary) of Manning, and Kenneth McClary (Sandra) of Kingstree; a daughter, Betty D. Yandle of Indian Trail, N.C.; three sisters, Violet Davis of Kingstree, Ruthie Hewitt of Williston, Nancy Richardson of Manning; a special sister-in-law, Betty Green of Manning; five grandchildren, Kema Kovach, Ken McClary, Chad McClary, Dean McClary, and Amy McGucken; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Juanita Green McClary were held Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, in the Williamsburg Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Williamsburg Cemetery.
