Cash, check and bank card taken from man's wallet at home

A 65-year-old Manning man told deputies about 7:22 a.m. Aug. 6 that he found money missing from his wallet left atop the dresser in his bedroom, saying that it was taken between 7 p.m. Aug. 5 and the time of his call. He said $2,200 in cash was taken from the wallet. He also said he had a check from the Department of the Treasurer in the amount of $168 taken from the home, which is in the 1500 block of Brown Road in Manning. He said an unknown person had made a $500 withdrawal from his bank account using his AMT card.
