Women of Main Street: Shelley Knott Jones

Posted
EDITOR'S NOTE: Shelley Knott Jones is is one of nearly 100 women being honored by Main Street Manning at its regular meeting Sept. 23. The Manning Times is completing the program for that meeting, and will be featuring all the women who want to participate on manninglive.com, and some will appear in each weekly edition of The Manning Times throughout September. Born and raised in Blythewood, Shelley Knott Jones is an import to Clarendon County. The University of South Carolina retail management graduate started her professional career as a leasing consultant while pursuing a masters degree in business administration from North Greenville University. It was there that her love for property management began. “I met the love of my life, Manning native F.B. Jones, at Carolina, and during our first few months of marriage, the dream of owning a property management firm in Manning became a reality,” Jones said. With the help, knowledge and love from Jones’ father-in-law, Frank Jones, ResComm was formed. “We manage residential and commercial property throughout Clarendon County,” Jones said. “When you have a property, residential or commercial, that needs to be managed, our goal is that ResComm Management will be the first thing that comes to mind.” Jones said she can’t imagine living anywhere else. “The people of Clarendon County are truly the best,” she said. “I love hearing each of their stories and getting to know their families. I hope each day I am leaving a lasting impression on them.” When not managing her business, Jones enjoys spending time with her business partner and husband, F.B., and their precious chocolate Labrador, Wheylen. She is also a member of the Junior Ambassadors of Clarendon County and part of the #MissClarendonCrew.
