LMA falls to Williamsburg Academy in tennis matches

The Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats tennis team couldn't put up a win Wednesday against Williamsburg Academy in Kingstree. Stats for singles games saw LMA's six players bested in nearly all of their six matches against WA players.
Singles players for LMA included Amanda Newman, Ansley Ridgill, Kaela Johnson, Mackenzie Ham, Mason Ham and Allie Johnson. They played, respectively against WA players Mary Webbg Adams, Katelyn Tisdale, Britt Barrett, Jeana Faye Reynolds, Sydney Anne Adams and Kinslee Wilson. An exhibition singles match between LMA player Elizabeth Collins and WA player Ann Louise Williamson ended with WA winning 8-2.
Doubles players for LMA included Ansley Ridgill and Mackenzie Ham; Kaela Johnson and Mason Ham; and Allie Johnson and Amanda Newman.
This was LMA's third time on the court. On Aug. 28, the team played Holly Hill Academy, with Hannah Graham as the only singles player to win a set of matches, against WA player Bea Salley 6/4 and 6/2. In doubles for that game, Holly Hill won all sets.
On Aug. 26, LMA won two singles sets against Florence Christian School through players Mason Ham and Allie Johnson. The team didn't win any doubles sets.
