The 34-year-old Manning man killed late Saturday night in a vehicle wreck on S.C. 261 in Manning has been identified. Clarendon County Coroner Hayes F. Samuels said Sunday that Maurelio Deleon of 1258 Audrey Lane died from apparent blunt force trauma to the chest and neck. No autopsy will be performed. Tammy Brown, 45, of 2929 Winters Hill Road in Manning, has been charged with one count each of felony DUI resulting in death and felony DUI resulting in great bodily injury. She was also charged with ABC and seatbelt violations. According to the S.C. Highway Patrol, Brown was driving a 1999 Hyundai behind the deceased driver’s 1994 Dodge Dakota when she struck the truck in the back, causing the truck to run off the road and strike a tree. Deleon was pronounced dead at the scene. Sgt. Bob Beres said neither Brown nor the two occupants of the Dakota were wearing seatbelts. Brown was transported to Clarendon Memorial Hospital, while a passenger in the deceased’s vehicle was airlifted to McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. Samuels said the passenger had surgery early Sunday morning and that his condition "doesn't look good."
