SUMMERTON – Patricia Young Schuyler Hobbs, 75, wife of Oscar Talmadge "Rusty" Hobbs Jr., died Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at her home.

Born Oct. 10, 1938, in Florence, Patsy was a daughter of the late Haynes Clinton Schuyler and Nancy Flowers Schuyler. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and a founding member of A Second Chance Animal Shelter.

Survivors besides her husband of Summerton include two daughters, Peggy Hobbs (Michael) Poston of Summerton and Tina Hobbs (Paul) DiBello of Chesterfield, Va.; a sister, Shirley Rodrigue of Atlanta, Ga.; and five grandchildren, Sarah Nichole Peterka, Morgan Oliver DiBello, Taylor Oliver "Bud" DiBello, David Joshua DiBello and Alyssa Marie DiBello.

A funeral mass for Patricia Young Schuyler Hobbs will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Sam Oloyede officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2014, at the home, 1047 Kids Drive in Summerton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to A Second Chance Animal Shelter, 5079 Alex Harvin Highway, Manning, SC 29102 or to Embrace Hospice, 1831 W. Evans Street, Suite 400, Florence, SC 29501.
