Wilson Wallace, 63, husband of Nancy Rodriguez Wallace, died on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.

He was born on Jan. 17, 1951, in Manning, a son of the late Lee Ernest "Skat" and Everlena Starks Wallace. A brother, Levy Wallace, and a sister, Mary Ann W. Gabriel, preceded him in death.

He attended Clarendon County public schools and was a 1970 graduate of Manning Training School. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He later moved to New York and worked in the garment industry for more than 20 years.

Survivors besides his wife include two sons, Derwin (Jomek) and Erick Wallace; two daughters, Terrine Harrell and Angela Plugues; a brother, Charles Wallace; a niece raised as sister, Lisa Wallace; six grandchildren; five aunts; and three uncles.

The celebratory services for Wilson Wallace will be held 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22 2013, at Hayes F. & LaNelle J. Samuels Jr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St. in Manning, with Elder Henry L. Hilton officiating, Evangelist Betty Ann Cantey, presiding, and Evangelist Mary Bethune and the Rev. O'Donald Dingle assisting.

The family will receive friends at the home, 7 W. Hospital St., Manning.
