Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie D. Peterson of Manning are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Nicole Peterson to Joshua David Mahaffey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan D. Mahaffey of Chapmanville, West Virginia.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas G. Brewer Sr. of Manning and Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Peterson of Sumter. She graduated from Laurence Manning Academy, and received a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science from Coastal Carolina University. She is employed as a wellness associate at The Lakes at Litchfield in Pawleys Island.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jospeh L. Pais of Welch, West Virginia, and Mr. and Mrs. Larry F. Mahaffey Sr. of Kingsport, Tennessee. He is a graduate of Chapmanville Regional High School, and recived a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ferrum College in Ferrum, Virginia. He is employed as the golf administrator for Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort in Pawleys Island.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at St. Paul’s Waccamaw United Methodist Church in Pawleys Island.
