The female passenger of a vehicle that wrecked between the 108 and 109 mile-markers in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 about 9:15 p.m. Friday morning was flown directly from the wreck to Palmetto Health Richland in serious condition. Lance Cpl. David Jones of the S.C. Highway Patrol said the driver of the one vehicle involved in the wreck was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions. According to reports, the driver went off the right side of the highway and struck a tree. The passenger was initially trapped in the vehicle. Another passenger had minor injuries, as did the driver, Jones said.
