Lamar Kennedy, the owner of Lamar's Country Corner, said damage done to his store early Monday morning during an attempted break-in was "superficial." Marcus Shane Bishop, 18, of 1399 Camp Harmony Road in Manning, and Uriah Nicholas Cochran, 18, of 106 Asbury Kneece Lane in Pelion, allegedly broke into the store 2:42 a.m. Monday, according to the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office. The duo “attempted to force entry into the business by kicking, ramming and snatching the handle of the front door following several unsuccessful attempts,” according to reports. "Big thanks to deputies Smith and Johnson and Investigator Marlowe and their quick response," Kennedy said.
