Drivers coming back into Manning last night were a little delayed as both lanes of U.S. 521 at Poston Lane were closed due to a three-vehicle wreck in which a deputy was involved.
The deputy was attempting to get to Poston Lane where a woman was shot and killed Saturday night, and was attempting to turn on that road when he was hit in the back by a second vehicle that had been rear-ended by a third.
The S.C. Highway Patrol reported a toddler in the third vehicle was transported to Clarendon Memorial Hospital for "facial injuries."
