Faye Ruth Hunt Staton, 64, widow of Donald Ray Staton, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, at her home.

Born Jan. 13, 1950, in Franklinton, Louisiana, she was a daughter of Ruby McNeese Tucker and the late Quincy Hunt. She was owner and operator of Fayz Place Restaurant and of the Baptist faith. Survivors besides her mother of Texas include two sons, James Ray Staton of Texas and Donald Ray Staton II of Ira Township, Mich.; two daughters, Annita Kay Staton Brown and Denelle Ann Staton, both of Manning; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wesley Hunt and Wilton Hunt; and three sisters, Diane Wheeler, Susan Roper and Lynn McDevitt.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ruby Del “Angel” Staton; and her brother, Hardy Hunt.

A memorial service for Faye Ruth Hunt Staton and Donald Ray Staton will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at Fayz Place Restaurant.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at the Hunt Family Cemetery in Franklinton, La.
