CCTC pins seven new massage therapists

SUMTER – Central Carolina Technical College's Health Sciences Division pinned seven new massage therapists during a ceremony held Thursday in the Iris Room of the college's Health Sciences Center in downtown Sumter. The Massage Therapy program prepares graduates to work in direct client care settings to provide manipulation (massage) of the soft tissue structures of the body to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm, and stress, and to promote health and wellness. Members of this year’s certificate in massage therapy class are, in alphabetical order, Carlie Faile, Angela Ferrell, Michelle Hancock, Lauren McMillan, Monica Mitchell, Jawanda Pack, Stacey Rippy. Adjunct faculty includes Devin McDonald, Renee Moreau, Shaun Phillips and Crystal Thomas. Program Manager is Brent Jackson.
