Janesville, Wis., native Megan Watson is one of 10 students studying real medicine at Clarendon Memorial Hospital for the next two years. The 25-year-old University of South Carolina biology graduate is also the one from furthest away, technically, although she’s lived in Irmo since she was 14. She said she wants to work as a pediatrician when her internship and residency is over, stemming from working as a pediatric medical assistant at Children’s Hospital in Columbia while a student at USC. She is ready to “apply everything I’ve learned in the class the last two years” during her work at CMH.
