While Julius Dukes Sr. is currently in the lead in Tuesday's runoff for the District 5 seat on Manning City Council with 48 votes, Gloria Frierson is behind just a single vote.
And the two challenged votes to be counted Thursday by the city Election Commission could change all that.
The commission - Chairwoman Bea Simon and members Margaret Walker and J. Wilder - will meet 10 a.m. Thursday to check those votes and certify the final results.
