Donald Ray Staton, 70, husband of Faye Ruth Hunt Staton, died Thursday, July 17, 2014, at his home.

Born Jan. 21, 1944, in Logan, W.Va., he was a son of the late James Russell Dillon and Delphine Alberta Duty Dillon. He was a retired assembly line worker for Chrysler/Dodge and a member of United Auto Workers and the Elk’s Club in Ferndale, Mich. He was a U.S. Army of the Vietnam War.

Survivors besides his wife of Manning include two sons, James Ray Staton of Texas and Donald Ray Staton II of Ira Township, Mich.; two daughters, Annita Kay Staton Brown and Denelle Ann Staton, both of Manning; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edna Mae "Jodie" Jeffries of Ft. Wayne, Ind. and Vickie (Glenn) Alexander of Silverwood, Mich.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ruby Del "Angel" Staton.

Services will be held at a later date.
